Sociology is about understanding people. It is about understanding differences. Sociology is not an academic venture for academic sake. It is about having the tools to nudge people towards good by presenting them with behavioural options. The good sociologist will always try to mitigate his/her biases and will remain full of humility: studying people is a sensitive endeavour.
